For those unfamiliar, Tory Lanez, AKA Argentina Fargo, is an emerging emcee/vocalist born in Toronto, Ontario and raised throughout the United States Of America (though predominantly Georgia, California and Texas).
Throughout his young career, Tory's collaborated with the likes of Soulja Boy, Bun B, boi-1Da, Sean Kingston, RL Grime, Scott Storch, DJ Mustard, Dizzy Wright, Meek Mill, YG, DJ Drama, Kirko Bangz, G-Eazy, Rockie Fresh and many more.
“The Color Violet“ is the fourth song to appear on Tory’s Alone At Prom album. Tory sings about heartbreak and tells us a story about a woman whom he lusts for but she’s appears to be no good for him. She eventually breaks his heart while “playing games of love” to deceive Tory. Lanez doesn’t think he can recover from this hence the chorus “I won’t dance again”.
“The Color Violet” debuted at #87 on the Billboard Hot 100 during the chart week ending of January 14, 2023.
