Frogtoon Musique - Informations sur la chanson: I Guess

"I Guess" Explores The Theme Of Loss And The Struggles Of Moving On. In The Opening Verse The Speaker Acknowledges That Their Relationship Has Come To An End And That The Persona Must Learn How To Be Without Their Partner. The Line "It's Been You And Me Since Before I Was Me" Could Suggest How Intertwined Their Lives Have Been Making It Even More Difficult To Separate From One Another. In The Second Verse The Speaker Expresses Their Desire To Hold Onto Even The Smallest Aspect Of Their Partner Indicated By "If I Could Keep Anything Of You I Would Keep Just This Quiet After You". However The Stillness Only Serves To Emphasize The Void Left Behind. The Calmness Is Like A Metaphorical 'pond' And As The Speaker Stares Into It They Become More Aware Of The Absence Of Their Partner. The Outro Seems To Be A Sort Of Thank You Note Or Goodbye Letter To Her Partner. The Speaker Reflects On The Relationship And Appears To Be Grateful For The Experiences And Memories They've Shared Together Despite The Pain Of Its Ending. Overall "I Guess" Is A Poignant Expression Of The Emotions Experienced When A Relationship Comes To An End And Highlights The Difficulties Of Learning To Move On Afterwards.
