McAlpine Carries Her Heart And Mind Through A Graphic Retelling Of Heartbreak. Lizzy Has Shared Very Little About The Exact Background Of The Song And Although Not Much Explanation Is Needed She Did Quote Singer-Songwriter Ella Jane Saying "my Ex Who "doomsday" Is About Did This. Red Flags All Over That One". “This Song Is About Being In A Relationship That Is So Toxic That You Know It’s Doomed And Preparing Yourself For That Eventuality. It’s Heavy In Funeral Metaphors Because Heartbreak To Me Is Like A Death.” - Via Atwood Magazine
